Hi all

I am currently building up a 2x10 hardtail for trail use (29er) and on the shimano website it says to use the CN-HG94 with the M785 2x10 drivetrain. I had a look on various websites and there seems to be reports of the chain breaking easy, i was wondering if any one has had any experience with this chain.

Or if you have the same setup/similar to the M785 double crankset (38-26) and 11-36 cassette, if you have ran another chain which works. I am kinda confused as to what chains will work given the Dyna-sys that the shimano xt uses.

Cheers
Ryan

Any 10 speed chain. KMC are better than Shimano IMO.

I have the same XT 2x10 on my Giant and to date it has worked well for me at c.16st before gear. However as CD says, I also prefer and always use KMC chains on my road bike having had bad experiences with Shimano DA.
