AVID BB7 bracket troubles

Got myself a front 180mm BB7 for my mountainbike and having some problems with the stock bracket, as in it's not holding the pads properly over the disc, I'm only getting about 2/5 coverage.
In my ignorance I have no idea which bracket I should get to replace it, any help would be much appreciated.

^ Current setup. You can see where the pads are actually touching.

Is it a 185mm bracket?0

Yup either the bracket is too big or the rotor too small.I don't do smileys.

On the bracket itself all it says is "40mm IS", I have no idea what that means.0

You have the wrong adapter for a 180mm rotor.
Photo: Avid Adapters
An adapter with 0mm IS on it is for a 160mm front rotor or a 140mm rear rotor
An adapter with 20mm IS on it is for a 180mm front rotor or a 160mm rear rotor
An adapter with 40mm IS on it is for a 200mm front rotor or a 180mm rear rotor
An adapter with 60mm IS on it is for a 220mm front rotor or a 200mm rear rotor0 -
Oh awesome, so Chainreaction sent me the wrong bloody bracket! Thanks for the help, I'll get on to them.0

For the rear though, you take 20mm off all these values. Just so you know ;-).0

Ahh, I see. They must have got confused and sent me the 180mm rear instead. Nevermind. Hopefully they have a decent support department. Thanks again.0

They do, very efficient it is too. Did you keep the paperwork - there's a returns form, you just drop it off at a 'depot' (normally a local shop), free postage.I don't do smileys.

I did, I'd rather not return the whole thing though so I've dropped them an email to try and sort things out, hopefully they'll get back to me by Monday.0
