Just passed the Sky Team as I was going over the mountains this morning coming down towards Pollenca they were going the other way probably heading over to Calobra. The kit looks pretty good in real life have to say, And EBH National jersey looked pretty cool and he was on the back of the group churning up the hill. Nice of the whole team to wave as I went past considerign today seemed as busy as summer this morning as far as bikes go? Beautiful day though sunny and warm and blue sky. Did not have time for a pic as i was going for a strava descent record and wasnt worth going back for I will pass them tomorrow somewhere im sure. 5 team jags out the front seems a bit excessive!

well i guess livign here and out as often as i can this time of year you see them all. last weekend i saw two Omega team riders but didnt know who they were and was ridign with them for about 10k then we went our own way, then hooked up with two BMC riders.
Today I saw EBH on the back, and Eisel but couldnt see who else was in the group i was going at a rate and didnt see them coming as there was a bend in the road but looked to be about 10-12 riders then the jag behind. i got to pollenca and there were two riders having coffe and i rode past them coing round the bay and read the jerseys name one was italian one was english but didnt recognise the names.the italian looked like a kid on his bike.
I will be going past polleca way tomorrow and they always leave the hotel at 10 am military precision so if you wanted to see them ride its pretty easy to do they will be here the whole month i woudl have thought. I normally go somewhere else as im bored of going that way at the moment and im living somehwere else on the island at the mo so starting my rides near inca so normally head south or east from here.
Should be the trofeo palma first sunday of Feb whcih is always a good day with all the teams so will be looking to that if its on cant find much info at the mo but lots has been cancelled in spain due to cutbacks. Always photo oppotunities there.
I saw wiggo a couple of weeks before xmas ridign out of Alcudia but he was on his own.0 -

According to the documentary about Wiggins that was shown on Sky before Christmas, Wiggins trains alone quite a lot - possibly even on a training camp when he's there with other riders.0 -
anyone got any pics of this new kit?0

i will stick my camera in my pocket and get some pics tomorrow and then upload tomorrow night if you like. I think i know where they are headed tomorrow. will try for you tomorrow.0

No mate as the above link was up it saved me the hassle. I went the other way to soller. Im pretty sure they did north coast today, I went the other way. Legs are still hurting from yesterday. They will be here all month until second week of feb Usually. Saw the BMC team coming out of Campanet as I was driving the other way though.0

Your rides are just epic Jeff.
My legs are killing me after 150kms of undulating Essex roads this weekend "You really think you can burn off sugar with exercise?" downhill paul0 -
i dont know about epic? I just go out and end up somehwere then come home again. I would love to be riding round essex for a change. Looking forward to a week over there in a weeks time. Not to pi55 people off but this winter so far has just been endless sun and blue sky which is pretty boring when you like a bit or bad weather now and again, just hope we dotn get a crap summer!
I go out a fair bit as I dont have too much to do at the moment, except go to work!0 -
Peter Kennaugh wore the new Sky kit at the Revolution meeting yesterday in Manchester, during the afternoon warm up for the National Madison Championships and the evening racing. Pictures are on the Team Sky website http://www.teamsky.com0

Living the good life Jeff, sounds awesome over there; I'm thinking of moving to Spain to get away from the relentless grey UK, prefer my skies blue. Grab some pics if you can/feel like it! (any pro teams that is, not just Sky)0

Going to Puerta pollenca later this year and seriously considering hiring a bike for two or three rides. Had the ok from the better half, would be daft to miss out on some lovely cycling out there. Cant be too bad if pro teams use it!0

yes you should for sure its fantastic.
I will get a lot of pics of the teams next month after my trip to the uk, when im back all th teams will be here so I will have a day off and get some pics for you.0 -
Calobra is an awsome road to drive, Dont think i would like to climb or decent it though. Some scary bends.
I might be wrong, but i remember correctly it has a near 360 degree bent at one point?0 -

Sounds good, some of the area around pollenca would be much appreciated0 -
Calobra is a great climb, I done it last summer when I was staying in burger, you have to do it early in the summer as you get alot of coaches and cars going up and down it.
I'm off to the Stephen Roche training camp in Feb hopefully this is going to be good.0 -
The Team Sky guys in Mallorca at the moment are the 'classics' group. So guys like Boasson Hagen, Eisel, Stannard, Rowe, Puccio, etc. The GC group are heading over next week.0

Saw Pete Kennaugh out this morning, he blew past me on my commute. There were 2 of them, both in last years kit. Didn't recognize the other guy though.
I would have dropped him, but didn't want to show him up0 -
Doubt it-Revolution is on TV tonight but a friend who was there at the weekend said that he was taking laps for fun.Sounds like he will be on fire for the classics.Whats the solution? Just pedal faster you baby.

Hi all, just got back from a ride out this morning and took some pics of the sky team in their kit for those that wanted me to. Wigging was not there he got the weekend off. After they rode off I went to Polleca (the lighthouse) for those that know it. Passed Shane Sutton going along the beach and ended up doing the ride with him. Have to say one hilarious and very nice bloke. We talked the whole way and he was so interested in everythign we talked about, really nice bloke. Loks of talk which was very "interesting" but to be polite will be keeping that to myself. I tell you what for 55 he can still climb. He was riding out there ahead of the GB team so when we got there they were just arriving. I rode back alone left them to it then they caught me and and passed me as if I was sitting still on the way back to the top of the climb. Now back on the sofa for the rest of the day as had flu yesterday, and seems like ive still got it so no more bike now until after trip to england.
Heres some pics for you.0 -
