Giant trance rear shock

Had my Trance X4 since mid 2010,had light use probably one good ride a month in the peak district in its first 18months or so,plus weekly tame local rides,and only a hand full of rides in the last year,planning to step it back up this year, is it worth getting the rear shock serviced in anway ? and what would be done ? got no issues with it at the momment.It has Giants own brand air shock fitted.
