mtb holiday in france? im clueless

Hi guys,

I want to go on a low budget mtb trip with my little brother in France, but ive never done it before ive done a package with friends but it was all planned by them. The things im looking for are the following so please help if you know from personal experience and if you have an old trip that was planned please do forward.

1) Location: Close to the trails
Lift service to the mountain top
Cost of lift service per person per day
Nice town near by with bars and restaurants

2) Campsite: Showers
Bike lock up
electric hook up
Price if known or just the name

3) Attraction: Anymore local activities nearby:


If you can please help me then please, only nice campsites please dont want to live in a dive lol nice and clean.

    Can't give you any specifics on campsites or otherwise, but look into Morzine - lovely town right in the middle of great terrain not too far of a drive from Geneva airport - good facilities in town inc. chairlift service for bikes, etc.

    There's a good campsite in Morzine. I've stayed there a few times.

    Another place to consider is Venosc, part of Les Deux Alpes. Very near a lift and beautiful valley.

    Hi Potsie, have you been able to find a camp site with a bike lockup facility?

    I'd like to go camping in the Portes du Soleil area this year and so far have been unable to find any information on this.
