Looking on street view, the bits through the towns look a bit trafficky but over the mountain looks quiet enough, sound about right? As a frustrated motorcyclist I'm getting quite exited at the idea. I'd love to ride round sone of the other circuits around Europe shame most of them are closed
When are you going? I want to go too...
I'll keep you posted, but it'll be a family holiday with a few bike rides rather than a cycling holiday.
I have managed to talk the wife into having a mini photoshoot so she can snap a picture of me attempting to jump of Ballaugh Bridge I'll have to work on my bunny hop skillz!
@ Monty, I'll probably going out 6am or earlier liekly to be much traffic over the mountain at those times? I suppose I'll probably coming around verandah about 7:30ish? It looks like the TT course is one of the two main roads around the island going by google maps, likely to be many nutters around that early in the monrning?Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

Nah, you'll be sound at that time. one or 2 assclowns, but no worse than you get on any UK A-road.
As previously stated, Sulby is a great climb, the Sloc is another brilliant one out of Port Erin heading up to Round Table towards Peel. There is another one going the other way out of Peel past Niarbyl to Round table. My local one is Injebreck to Brandywell. Featured in an online Magazines top 100 climbs in the UK recently. Of course, there is the climb out of ramsey on the course round the Gooseneck up to the old museum.
Naturally, it's all Strava'd:
Injebreck-Brandywell
Sulby-Brandywell
Barregarrow-Brandywell
The Sloc
Ramsey-Museum (along the course)
Full lap of the course
There are loads of sportives and stuff going on through the year too, some of the bigger events can be found Here
The local road club also goes out every Sunday with various groups and there are usually plenty of people kicking about to ride with if you're a bit of a packrat.0
