Nope it does not mate just where i was looking at some bikes im open to ideas from other websites0 -
If you can stretch a bit this has better spec. Especially the fork and tyres.

Best equipped bike in the £500 bracket has got to be the Decathlon Rockrider 8.1 - most of the big names will be charging you 700+ for a bike of equivelent spec. However, this is probably only valid if you've got a Decathlon near you so you can throw a leg over one.
Next on the list would be the Voodoo Hoodoo at Halfords, and even the spec on that doesn't come close to the Rockrider.
Pauls Cycles has some great deals on previous years Giants, so that could be worth a look too.How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

i would say for a sub £600 bike i would go for a voodoo hoodoo
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_786847_langId_-1_categoryId_165499
i would also have a look at chain reaction cycles re-cycles bikes area, its were they put their ex display & damaged stuff. they class their damaged stuff as "damaged" because it can have a missing manual or tiny marks on the frame, but some of their bikes have a massive saveing. but thats if its in youe size.
Ghost SE 4000 Hardtail Bike 2012 rrp 799 now 620

Ghost SE 8000 Hardtail Bike 2012 rrp 999 now 649

the voodoo hoodoo has won awards and their is lots of great reviews about it for the money0 -

This seems like quite a nice bike hmmm. who would of thought it would be so hard to buy a bike!!!0 -
I wouldn't buy anything from Tredz unless you can walk in and pick it up, tried them a few times and they have let me down everytime.
If your budget is £500 the Decathlon RR 8.1 is the best choice, decent spec anything else and you'll only spend more buying better parts.0 -
hmm everyone keeps saying to buy this RockRider 8.1, it doesnt look very nice.
I don't know where the budget came from aswell but i will spend 700-800 on a bike thats looks better and has a good spec aswell

hahaha first off i appreciate everyones help, 2nd someone should really change your name from Clank to Crank xD.
This is why i am on this forum to see what bikes people like what they had for there first MTB. if this rockrider 8.1 is a good starter and well spec'd could parts be used to make a better bike later on if i buy a new frame ect ect ...0 -
What type of riding do you intend using the bike for? And what size of frame do you need? Its a good time for bargains and well worth shopping around for good sales. I recently picked up a 2011 diamond back axis from £1400 down to £800 from scotby cycles. If you can push your budget to £800 its worth a look. Reasonably good spec for this price. Rockshox sektors sram x9 2x10 groupset, avid elixer brakes, raceface bars and stem, sun wheels, schwalbe tyres. Good singletrack/trail bike. Happy shopping.0

You can't see a bike when your riding it...or when it's covered in mud....what a bike looks like has very little to do with how it rides!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
