+potato for root & aftermarket ROM.
The HTC UI was too bloated to work well on the Desire, and seriously knackered by the small internal memory. After rooting, you can stick in a 32gb SD card and you can run one of the apps that moves everything to the SD card. It's a completely different phone with something like oxygen or cyanogenmod on it.0 -
I've had the Note 2 for a couple of weeks now, so far pretty impressed. I don't find the size a problem in terms of fitting in pockets etc. - basically it does, I really can't imagine what kind of trousers you'd be wearing for it not to  - and the huge screen is great for all kinds of tasks, from movies to managing the network via remote desktop.0

I have the s3 and as long as you dont have tiny hands the screen size isnt a problem. People complain its huge but iv never had an issue with it being to big in my pocket and the bigger screen just makes everything better.
Battery life is about a day which is the same on all smart phones except the Motorola razor.
now you see thats the opposite of what iv heard, you could easily get a couple of days from it using it normally, i.e not messing with it every 15 seconds.
how you find the S3 buddy? my mate has one and i can always see him stretching his thumb about to reach the top corners of the screen, the battery life and call quality good on it?
The battery is naff on them even with battery defender image struggling to get a full day. Also i know several people who's phone freezes and when you restart them they've lost 40 percent or more battery. You can now get an s3 mini and my mate this a gaffer at carphone warehouse says the note is amazing but big.0 -
I would always choose an android phone over a iphone. The reason for this is I used to be a massive apple fan and have 2 ipods and a ipad but then I suddenly realised that I was spending money on these 'new' products that in my opinion wasnt really changing that much...yeah they had a better screen resolution and the likes but overall I felt like I had been purchasing the same thing. Android systems are really customisable and the google play store has most the same apps as the apple store.0

Ended up getting an iPhone 5. I hate myself a little bit, but have to admit that it does everything very well, and the apps are great. Battery life is way better than the 4s too.0

I ended up with a Nokia Lumia 800 - love it! And at £17.50 a month I really can't complain!0

Vodafone have naff all Nokia models available unfortunately otherwise I would have been tempted by the 920.0

This is probably bit late, but nonetheless, will be useful for some. I just got this deal:

The phone is excellent (though large!), and can't go wrong with that pricing. Even cheaper deal at T Mobile, but 200 less mins.0
