Rockshox Reba

I have a Giant xtc 3 which has a rockshox recon silver 100mm on could you put a rockshox Reba 120mm on my bike ??
Is a Reba a lot better than a recon silver??

If the steerer is correct you can put a 100mm reba on fine. Going 120mm will change the head and seat post angle by about 1 degree slackening it.

How will I know if it has the correct steerer does it has to be tapered?
