Well Santa said I had been good all year so I could order myself a new frame just before Christmas, it has arrived... I have stripped down my Pro Carbon and will be building this up in early January. I have decided to try and do the whole build myself, we will see how that goes...
Build will be:
SRAM Red 2011 groupset
SRAM Red Black brakes
Ritchey WCS Carbon Stem
Ritchey WCS Alu bars
Ritchey WCS seat
ZIPP 303 clinchers with GP4000 tyres
Will add a few pictures during the build!
Undecided on the colour of the bars and hoods, suggestions welcome!? - I have red, yellow and black hoods to choose from. I was either thinking of white or black bar tape?

Black hoods, black tape.
White tape looks nice for about 10 minutes. Yellow... Just no.
Lush bike though. It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0 -
oh man thats just lovely. The AIR frames are stunning looking.
personally Id go white tape and black hoods. Anything else will just divert focus from the frame!0 -
Tape should match saddle (white is good), hoods should be black.0
-
Everything black. Let that lovely frame be the star of the show. Looking forward to seeing it built up...Trying Is The First Step Towards Failure

Frame looks good, but for gods sake don't put anything yellow on it, I've seen too many Boardmans ruined with yellow tape, tyres and seats etc. Personally I'd stay away from white tape too because it looks chatty too quickly.0

Damn it! Why did I click on this thread?

"Chatty", now there's a word you don't hear every day! Fifer by any chance?
That's a nice looking frame, I wish they would do more subtle graphics though.
Black bar tape and hoods for me.Wilier Cento Uno SR 2013 in Fluro Yellow
Cannondale Caad10 2014 in BLACK!!0 -

Thought I would do a little update, the bottom bracket bearings will go in this evening and the new cables will be delivered on Monday so it may be finished mid week.
Fairly light even though it's an aero frame:

I'd stick with all black for the finishing kit - should be quite some build when complete. Read the Chris Boardman article in Cyclist magazine last night - top man and done an excellent job of balancing economy bikes with top end bikes that are really desirable (like yours).0

Feel the yellow.
Yellow cable outers and yellow bar tape - has to be.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
PLEASE don't put anything yellow near that, certainly not if you want to ruin it. It HAS to be black finishing kit, including bar tape
Its gonna be a stunner.Winter: Moda Nocturne

Well after a few delays, the bike is mechanically complete and IMHO looks ace. I still need to fine tune the position, the weather outside is not the best for this.... I will take some proper pics when this is done but for now this should give you all an idea. I can't wait for spring!

The bike looks great! It's given me loads of inspiration.
One question though - what size did you cut your steerer tube to?
I've just taken delivery of my AiR 9.8 frame and was curious what to roughly ask for when I finally get it built up.
Thanks0 -
oh yeah that's a win
if you wanted a colour option for the tape, you could try some silver tape if it matches the text - cinelli do some"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"

In my humble opinion I reckon this bar tape would be perfect.

I would have to call this bike the Nadal because it has the exact colour scheme of his tennis racquet! Hope that snow's cleared off so you can get out on it. Very nice.0
