Mine went on my Trek in a bout 45mins, no trimming required.
On a slightly separate note, to the 'I'm no good at DIY' lot. It's a confidence thing, a mental block. You have already convinced yourself you'll mess it up, so, you most likely will. Fitting the Crud's is probably the best thing you could do as from what i recall, it would be hard to really bugger it up. A good starter job to get the head fixed!

Pretty happy with mine. First ride yesterday with them on and apart from a mid-route adjustment, they were excellent and kept the road crap off me and the bike. I fitted two sets (mine and other half) and to be honest, the second lot went on in 1/3 the time. The instructions are a bit rubbish to be honest but they fit no problem on my Defy2 but I had to trim the back ones on my wife's to fit her Avail2 as the frame is shorter. Needed trimming down by the chain but a junior hacksaw did the job. I used some helicopter tape I had lying about to protect the forks from any rubbing. Also, don't skip fitting the hairy sticky bits to the inside where they are close to the rim as they will keep the mudguards aligned unless they get really bent.
In summary, build them first, then attach at the brakes and make sure everything looks good then do the forks and finally cable tie to the seat post upright.0 -
Just finished fitting mine to my Spesh Tarmac. Took about 1 hour in total - could have done it in less but was doing other jobs at the same time. The front one was easy! The back one took a bit of fiddling to stop it rubbing. Will see how it goes when out on a ride.0

I would say the most important thing is to use a bike stand. If you don't have one - get one. It makes life soooo much easier.
I watched the video a couple of times then set everything up in a warm well lit place, and just went about it. I never looked at the instructions once and did it from memory of the video. It really isn't too hard. I expected it to be much harder than it was because of what everyone on here has said!
I started with the rear and got it done fairly quick - but as I said the front was a doddle!0 -
Quick Update
I had a go, and it was fairly easy, It took me about 20 mins to fit both guards. If anyone has a 2012 Spesh Allez and is thinking of getting these guards? The fit is perfect with no cutting needed.Cube Attain SL Disc
