The other thing about the PR-3 tyres is that the front and rear ones are different.
Is that unusual? Is it any particular benefit? Is the gorilla tired yet?0 -
The wheels on my winter bike need replacing and i was going to put the PR-2s on this and get some upgrades for my TCR Composite 3 so i'm keen to listen to any advice on this issue too (I started a new thread looking for wheel advice but with no response as of yet)0

Interesting topic,
I have SL-1 wheelset and P-R3 23c tyres on my Giant TCR. They came stock with the bike. I have found no need to change the tyres as they are very good so far and have handled well in dry and wet days, no issues with grip. Come the summer i might change depending on wear.
Im going to pick up a Giant Defy 4 shortly. It comes with Kenda 25c tyres. Looking at tyres myself for winter/spring use and decided to go for a set of Schwalbe Durano 23c. I liked the reviews and seemed to suit my needs. Hopefully i have made a decent choice.
Pedal On has some good offers on Giant tyres at the moment.0
