winter storage

Hi, ive not been out on the bike recently due to the bad weather, lack of decent cold weather kit and christmas shopping taking up the spare cash to buy kit. ( ive got some now, thanks santa)
My bike is stored in a wooden hut with a concrete floor. Is there any precautions i need to take to store the bike over the winter. I was in the hut yesterday and the chain is looking a bit rusty and im worried about the rest of the bike getting affected....
cheers

Give it a good clean, dry it, spray any unpainted metal surfaces with GT85 to dispel any water, put oil on the chain and check there is air in the tires every few weeks. Also make sure it is secure, can't be stolen and is insured.
But why store your bike, they are made for riding.Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
