How to edit a GPX/TCX file

I imported a friends gpx route but need to edit it, Does anyone know how to do this. I have searched the internet but cannot find anything where i can just drag the start end points to my house and it will redraw, I also need to re route certain parts.

Tried bike route toaster, ride with GPS, nothing seems to work, or is easy enough to understand. Cant be that hard surely.

    You can download a free, 30 day trial of Memory Map which will let you edit GPX.

    You could just redraw the route using your friends as a guide, usually takes 3 mins to do... Click, click, click.

    And it will give you route guidance doing it that way. It really is that simple to do. I frequently do it with parets of sportive type routes which are publicly available to do them on my own.
