swapping cranks

I am very close to buying an SRM however with three bikes (specialized allez, transition and SL4) I would need to swap it from bike to bike relatively often during the season( in winter only really ride allez so wouldn't be so much on an issue) does anyone know if there is any reason why swapping cranks often shouldn't be done does it wear anything out quicker? the alternative would be to buy an SRM for SL4 and swap it occasionally to transition and a powertap for training but obviously this would set me back a further £600

As long as you follow the assembly instructions correctly, cannot see why swapping them around would increase wear.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I have a gxp Power2max that I swap between bikes regularly. Can't see why it'd do any harm and it only takes a couple of minutes to swap.More problems but still living....0

DO NOT buy 2 different power meters and train using them. The numbers will be slightly different as they measure power at different points. So it would just make it a pain in the bum if you had to remember what factor they are out by and when you want to compare ride data etc etc. Swapping between bikes won't be a problem. Maybe looking at getting a second hand SRM if you are worried about swapping too much.***** Pro Tour Pundit Champion 2020, 2018, 2017 & 2011 *****0
