Hi guys,
I would like to buy Mavic A 199 rims. Here are the rim dimensions
http://www.kstoerz.com/freespoke/rim/245
Tire Size ISO 622 (700c, 29er)
a friend of mine will be shipping it with his bike box internationally. The box has 65 cm tall and i have to be sure the rim will fit inside. I have many rim dimensions in this pdf
http://www.tech-mavic.com/tech-mavic/te ... /2_104.pdf
but i get confussed. How can i be sure which is the overall outer diameter of this rim? so it can fit in the box.
Thanks!

65 is fine, just... 622 is the bed of the rim... Add a couple of cm... Typically rims are 64 cmleft the forum March 20230

Thanks for the fast reply Ugo!
By the way, where is the bed of the rim? Here is a picture.
Is the bed of the rim in the eyelets holes are or in the middle of the rim. In case the bed rim is on the base of the eyelets holes 622 mm+1,75 mm+1,75mm=657mm which is 7 mm bigger than the box.
Any ideas?0 -
Take the 9 off the 17.5 to give you the approx bed of the rim so that gives you 18mm less which will fit.Yellow is the new Black.0
