Anyone know if it's possible to get mifi (for an ipad) without any sort of contract through anyone? Just want to pay for it/top up as and when my daughter travels away. Thanks.

Edit - got one.

Mifi is no different from anything else. It's all about the SIM.

Just pick a PAYG provider with the data deal which suits you best. Giffgaff have some good deals iirc.

Having said that does your daughter not have a smartphone with a data plan? I simply use wifi tethering on my android when I want to browse the net on my laptop/tablet when away from home.

Edit, ahh you have an edit.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
