Hi
Got a DHB merino wool top and been googling about and prices seem high on Wiggle etc.
I want a tight fitting pair 100% Merino wool leggings, seen some on Ebay which are dual layer and a bit dubious about them as i had some socks like this and they were a pain as they would not fit nice and tight (crease up).
Anyone recommend anything ??
Also some nice warm socks (i have a pair waterproof sealskinz for the wet)
Cheers

My goto place for anything merino is chocholatefish.
I dont see the point of merino leggings for UK conditions, they get too dirty from wet muddy roads and a synthetic is easier to care for. They are probably too warm.0 -
I wouldn't bother with merino leggings for cycling as I can imagine them not being very durable and starting to bobble quite quickly.0

Super roubaix tights or leg warmers are what you need, not underwear.More problems but still living....0

For Merino - look for Planet X deals.
But I cannot imagine that merino leggings go well with cycling and comfort. For climbing maybe, but I imagine being rubbed by damp wool, wouldn't be comfortable unless you are Welsh0 -
I got a pair from Decathlon for 20 quid. You will need to size down though as they come up large.
Mine have been washed and worn a lot this winter and they are still spot on."You really think you can burn off sugar with exercise?" downhill paul0 -
As anyone who wore wool shorts before the days of synthetic material whether they'd want them back and I think they'd decline - wool stretches when wet and saggy-ar$e is not a good look.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Icebreaker make some nice merino longs. I have a pair I use for work in arctic and Antarctic climates, but I don't use them for cycling. Don't rally need them and, as Monty Dog says, the bunching and sagging when wet is not a great look0
