Their 'January Sale' is pretty much the same discount you'd have received by using the money off codes they just got rid of.
Was hoping for the discounted vouchers again this year, shame...
Thinking about it, I hardly buy anything from CRC anymore!

Yep, me too. Bike components.de are the cheapest for everything I buy now even with shippingfees.
Their tyre prices are crazy. Ok, I talk in Danish kroner, but they charge 270 kroner when CRC charge 400.0 -

I rarely buy off CRC these days, only if they have something I want and it's on a proper decent offer, their prices and deals/voucher codes aren't what they used to be...0
-
Either that or the only cheap stuff is the random sizes/compatibility... Most other stuff can be found cheaper elsewhere.0
-
There was a time when I bought most of my stuff off CRC, Merlin and Wiggle. Now 99% of the time with some shopping around I can find stuff elsewhere cheaper. If I need something I start looking at the price of it at those 3 places and then just shop around.0
-
I used to buy then I bought from French site where I got revelations for 200 quid and now use bikediscount and rose. Fantastic prices and way way below what we can get here, including postage.0

Unless CRC or Merlin have a stupidly good offer on for something I want in the right size, colour etc, I go to ze germans as default now, stuff is so much cheaper over there, especially shimano and schwalbe, which is handy cos I use alot of that stuff0

There's some good stuff in this sale, but it's drowned in rubbish... TBH I reckon they'd do well to just lose some stock and make it easier for people to find the good stuff, they probably lose quality sales due to that.Uncompromising extremist0

Meh, I still buy most of my stuff from CRC or Merlin. Clothing and ancillaries from CRC, components from Merlin.
Full bikes, I'd look at Germany first.
Just bought a Garmin Edge 500 with HR and Cadence from CRC day before yesterday for £170 (£40 off spends of £199+).
Also bought a pair of santini waterproof bibs from wiggle for under £60 (50% off already, plus another 12% off)
AND, I've got a wardrobe full of Merino tops from on one, and just bought some winter gloves from them for £4 too.
They've all tightened up a bit over the last couple of years, but everyone has.0 -
I just put an order in at CRC to make use of the £15 off a £100 shop. I find them ok. Trouble is...stock. Lots of the things I always want are out of stock. I like the reviews they have there. I was going to order from bikediscount over in Germany but at the last minute a major item on the order went out of stock there too so...
Agree, "offers" there are poor. I hate the modern day "was £529.99 now £299.99" thing on absolutely everything. Literally every price is supposedly discounted these days.0 -
Paid £150 for my most recent order, nearly 40% discount so can't complain about the bargains!0

Aye, every time I get narked at CRC, I like to remember that I got a £1400 discount on my downhill frame, it'll take a while to work off that much goodwillUncompromising extremist0

CRC seem to deliver really slow these days.0

Yep, agree there. I got fully bashed by a few CRC fan boys a few months ago for posting, but at that time I ordered from 3 shops at the same time for a little project I was working on. The order was placed on a Monday morning. One was from Denmark (where I live), one from Germany and CRC. The Danish store delivered before CRC dispatched. They delivered on Tuesday. The German store delivered the day after on the same day CRC dispatched and I got my stuff from CRC the next Monday.
As the fan boys pointed out, if I wanted express service I should have paid for it (fair point) but fact is others are a) cheaper b) faster and c) have a better range. That is why I have Not placed a CRC order since.
Just my experience. Fan boyz flame away...0 -
I blame Wiggle, obviously.I don't do smileys.

My last few orders from them have pretty quick actually, I've ordered stuff at near enough midnight and its been dispatched by 9am and on my doorstep the next day.0 -

Disagree, Out of all my CRC orders, none have taken over 2 days to arrive.
My last order was some M596 Deore brakes. Ordered Thursday and they arrived yesterday. Can't complain with free next day delivery this close to Santy Clause coming!0 -
Shop around, buy from whoever has the best deal. If you need something today, go to a shop.
How hard is it.I don't do smileys.
