Pressfit Bottom Bracket Removal

Hello,

Just about to embark on a wee project to build up a road bike, but first i need to do a wee job.

The frame I have come into ownership of has a superstar pressfit bottom bracket.

Can I get this off with a few taps of a mallet and screwdriver or do I need a specific tool?

Bit reluctant to spend £25 on a tool I'll use once.

    My experience is that it takes more than a few taps of the mallet and don't expect to re-use it again afterwards! I used a big metal drift and something heavy to hit it with. I clamped the frame near the bottom bracket to a workstand too.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    If it's not miles away, I'd ask your LBS nicely.
