Is there a specific brush you can buy for tub/rim glue, or can the tub fans recommend a ‘normal’ DIY brush for the job?

What I've used is a long wooden stick eg kebab/bbq stick. The big tins of conti glue come with a brush but I used to find that messy and after using the tin up I used the smaller tubes and a stick. It doesn't allow much glue to be held but I prefered that method. I think I squirted directly onto the tub/rim then moved the glue around as required using the stick.

Cheap'n'cheerful as you'll be using them only once - as long as the brush hairs don't fall-out
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Hence the reason not to use cheap n cheerful ;-) Many a window frame glossing has been ruined by the stray hair!

A wee trip to B&Q is on the cards I think.
  • A small sash brush is ideal, they're round with a bullet shaped tip.
