£3.50 for 1m x 25cm whilst helitape.co.uk have 1m x 15cm for £15. why such a difference in price, is there a quality issue with some helitape products?

If it's not 3m don't buy it. You're just opening yourself up to a world of potential hurt.
The decent 3m stuff is expensive but is much more reliable, it wont discolour etc, nor will it take your paint off.0 -
Guess it depends whether you want to cake your whole bike in it, or just stick little bits where cables rub. I've never had any problems with little bits of whatever I get cheap on Ebay, but I've never felt the urge to wrap up my bikes.I don't do smileys.

I use paragon tapes. Good guys, quality is good and it dont take paint off the frame or forks. They have a good range an are on eBay.
Also used biketart who have some great products.
If in doubt buy small to sample the quality.Family, Friends, Fantastic trails - what else is there
