Need route ideas for Lake District
Planning a full day out in lake district but im not sure where i should go.Want to involve everything from best views, technical sections, tough climbs, just eveything into one. Distances between 25-50 miles. Anyone who knows the lake district have any routes our ideas to share would be much appreciated. Thankyou

3 Passes.Garburn,Gatesgarth and Nan Bield.Only about 22 miles but massive amount of climbing/descending.
Or Helvellyn and the Ullswater singletrack.Big climbs up the mountain, very technical descent then some very technical and scenic riding just above the shoreline of Ullswater.
Both very tough rides best left for long summer days 8)0 -

Walna Scar and the bridleways of Grizdale0 -
+1 for Garburn pass and for the singletrack by the side of Ulleswater.
Skiddaw is meant to be good but never done it personally0 -
Think the weather may rule out Skiddaw and the lack of daylight hours+likely to be heaving with walkers over the festive period, not a good mix.
Borrowdale Bash and add on Blencartha/Gendeterra(sp?)
Garburn and add on Kentmere down to Staveley, or start at Staveley and head over to Ambleside
All depends on weather, wet and boggy or crisp and frosty0
