Which MTB tandem

Hi all
A bit of an unusual one here. My wife and I recently discovered a whole new level of silliness - riding a tandem off road. I bought a cheap "adventure" tandem, swapped some parts to make it more off road worthy and off we went. "what a hoot", we have only road a few times but we are having a blast. We have decided to shell out on a proper "off road" tandem.
Our choices are the Fandango 29er HT and the Ventana 26er FS, I may have to cross off the Ventana 29er due to lack of "crown jewel room". These bikes are available from MTBTandems.com.
I'm a short arse at 5'6" or so with inside leg of 31.5" standover for these bikes are Fandango 29er is 29" (best standover option) Ventana ECDM 26er is 29.42" (still good) and Ventana ECDM 29er is30.86" (well iffy).
Have any of you any experience with these bikes? What do you think?
Thanks all - your input is very welcome.
