Park Tool HHP-2 Headset Press

I have always used 12mm thread bar and some thick flat washers, however I was in my LBS last night and was chatting away and happened to mention I was going to fit some headsets.
The LBS owner offered my his HHP-2 press for the evening. Now I have always been put off by its price, but after using it last night I must say they were the two easiest headsets I have ever fitted. They just sailed in to place.
Has anyone ever bought the HHP-2 (as a home mechanic) and regretted it? The price is still unpalletable but I must say after last night I am tempted.

I wouldn't bother with it for home use. It's expensive for what it is and you're not going to use it more than once a year on average. It's a luxury rather than investment.0

can get cheaper ones.....Cyclo or X-tools or such for under £40 which work well enough for home mechanics :-)0
