Looking at getting a new full susspension mountain bike. Been looking at the new specialized camber FSR. Black/red. Dont know much about full suss bikes but me mates got the 2011 version and loves it. Its the £1500 one. 29er wheels.
I currently have a specialized rockhopper 2010 red/white version which has been an excellent bike, but getting into the offroad trails and fancy a full suss now.
My LBS said if i used a credit card to pay for it he would beable to give me it for around £1300 instead.
Anyone fans or got one of these bikes? Might be getting a lend of one to go to innerleithen to try it out soon.

  • my pal has one of these, its a real nice little bike, buttttttt i bought myself a 2009 stumpjumper for alot less second hand and found it to be a much better bike. It depends if you want a brand new or second hand really. Also what type of riding you do will dictate if you should buy a 29er or not pal

  • Got the MBR mag, first time ive got it and seems an excellent mag. Gives the Camber comp which is £2000 9 out of 10. Also says the cheaper one at £1500 is still a decent bike at the price and would usually cost £2000 but have put it down to £1500, the comp has 110mm travel, where the cheaper camber has 100mm travel.

Iv. Got the 2012 camber expert and it's a great bike....not much to say not had any probs it rides nice feels planted and not heavy for a full sus bike. mine is 120mm travel and I think the 29er is 100 or 110mm travel.

You should be able to pick up a 2012 29er comp for 1600-1700 if your budget can stretch.
