Just been to Decathlon here in Malaga and they had a Rockrider 6.0 a 2011 model for €179 about £140 ish pounds as I only want it for green lanes a some light dirt tracks do you think this would be OK..

This is my first mtb so I want to make sure I like doing it first..

There is a Rockrider 5.2 this years model at €299 a little over £220 as another option.

Cheers

List price in the UK is £149.99 so £140 isn't a huge saving!

A same price hardtail would be a better bet (better still - get a preloved), that year suspension is totally undamped, so either it saps all pedaling power or doesn't move at all - either being a waste!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
