Local Clubs / Group Rides

Is there any easy way to find a local club or group rides in my area ?
Clubs listed on the British Cycling website seem rare in my area ...

I am looking to join a Club in the Central Beds/Border Herts area (Slip End/Luton/Caddington/Markyate/Harpenden) ??

Ask around at your local bike shops, they normally know the clubs or even sponsor one.
