Rivington Routes (NW)

Hi

Can someone post some well know Rivington Routes for Mountain Biking, I am told a lot of people start at Rivington Barn?

I live near to Warrington so looking for rides within a reasonable distance, done Coed Llandegela loads of times (great fun), taken the family to Delamere (not to exciting for me).

I may try Lee Quarry at some point. Any other areas with in 30/40mins of Warrington, Bury?

    a good ride is up to compass point on withnell moor which is next to rivington pike are you can go to darwen jubilee tower im planning on doing a ride over xmas hols

    Been of the bike 3 weeks after breaking my leg, expect another 3 weeks, then the plaster is off...then I need to understand what I can/cant do with pins in my ankle that will be removed at a later date.

    I was on a brand spanking new bike - LOL!
