Giant Trance X3 2011 Headset play.

There's a bit of movement in the front end of my 2011 Trance X3 which I reckon is down to the headset. Could anyone please advise as to how to remedy this.
Also what type of headset would be required if it needs replacing? It's a tapered headtube with a 1.5 inch steerer.

I have undone the stem bolts and re-tensioned the headset if that's what you mean?0

Sort of - there is more to it than retensioning, the top bolt adjusts the bearings. Can you not remove the play with it?0
