Just a quick check with the hive mind.
I currently run on a set of Kysrium Elites apart from the bling factor is there much t be gained from a switch to some AC420's.
My Elites are something like 08 or 09 versions so compared with the 2012 420's i guess thetre will be a rotational weight saving but are the any other differences I should factor into my considerations?
I am not seeking to open the wider and perpetual debate on the relative benefits of any and all wheels sets and the merits of handbuilt/factory built which wheels.
Cheers

I've been running 420's for two years now, 8k miles no problems at all, I'm no lightweight either.0

Wind-up both pairs to your max and the AC420s will noticeably feel faster - Ksyriums are strong but not too hot aerodynamically. The downside to the ACs is they aren't as tough and will need regular serviciing - particularly the front wheel bearings which are tiny.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

... the aerodynamical advantage of a 30 mm rim is mostly in the brochures and in people's heads.
Yes, tiny bearings are also annoying to change... doing it without damaging the tin-can thin hub shell is not the easiest operationleft the forum March 20230 -
