Hi
Does anyone who owns an 800 know if you set the backlight to be constantly on does it effect the temp reading?
Cheers Mat

I don't see any reason why it should. Unless there's a little hamster inside running on a treadmill with a small light bulb attached which overheats overtime. :roll:0

Yeah, it does affect it. Like most light sources, it's not perfect and also produces some heat. No need for hamsters.
I find the temperature reading a bit suspect anyway - usually 2-3 degrees too low. More info here: https://forums.garmin.com/archive/index.php/t-14167.html0 -
I was wondering the same about the 500?0
