Tire size & Pressure recomendation

hello, I am a beginner MTB rider. I am using a hardtail Giant XTC. I like mostly trail and downhill here around Saipan,Mariana Islands. relatively, Im wieghing around 215lbs. w. 5"8 hiegth.
Any recommedation and advice for tire size front & rear and tire pressure would help me a lot!!!

now i'm using Continental Speed king 2.1 for both rear & front tire. can i still use my old tire just buy one piec for rear or front tire???

It's pretty personal, I run high volume low pressure so 2.5 tyres with 28psi up front 30-32 on the rear. There is actually a website that can help calculate a starting pressure if someone can post the link. I used a digital gauge btw so could mess about and get exact numbers, gauges on pumps are not so good.

I run about the same pressures with 2.1 or 2.35, and tubes, no problems.
