I think it would shield my rear light.
Nice idea though.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

A solution to a non- existent problem I would say. Comprimise solutions never work for me. Comfortable backpack is preferable (I swear by Osprey backpacks).2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

I bought one of these a few weeks ago as I wanted to have rucksack to go out to meetings rather than a pannier.
Due to the weather being rubbish and me not being in the London office that much I have only commuted with it once
The bag is good quality and the positioning of the rucksack on the back of the seat didn't cause any problems
Overall so far I give it 8 out of 100 -

I have no idea if this works or not but, if it does, it solves two problems (or one problem with two causes):
1. I hate carrying a rucksack - gives me a sweaty back
2. Most road bikes don't have pannier mounts
If I found I started to need to carry a bag, I'd certainly be keen to give this a try.
Also probably solves another "problem" I often see - roadies in a tuck but with their rucksack where there head would have been sat upright. The bag might also serve as a makeshift mudguardROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
I feel like I should apologise - reread my post and it sounds unnecessarily arsey.
Also isn't such an issue for me as I commute on a converted mtb - the more upright position is more conducive to riding with a backpack. I gave no consideration to the hunched over position adopted by our faster brethren. :oops:2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

Lordy - you haven't got the hang of these Internet forum things, have you? You aren't meant to think about what you write, consider anybody else, and you certainly never EVER apologise!
ETA - get across to Road Bike Training and ask a question - THEN you'll see how it's done properly :twisted:ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0
