First road bike build.

Having been an MTBer for some 27 years I decided it was time to get a road bike. Mainly due to riding trail centres and a full suss Whyte 46 being poor on the road.
Anyway, After lots of research on Kardan frames i struck a very good deal straight from the factory in Italy. Kardan frames are made in China and then finished in Italy, they're not quite a generic chinese frame but not a full custom either. I'm certainly impressed with the build quality and carbon strength. The frame came in the matt black i'd requested and then i put the graphaix kit on.
I decided to go for 6700 Ultegra throughout as Di2 seemed a bit out of my league and for something I may not take to it was a good base.
Frame and forks - Kardan Exige
Wheels - Easton EA50 aero
Tyres - Schwalbe ultremo zx
Chainset - Shimano 6700 ultegra - grey
F & R mech - Shimano 6700 ultegra - grey
Shifters - Shimano 6700 ultegra - grey
Brakes - Shimano 6700 ultegra - grey
Pedals - Ritchey WCS echalon V2
Seatpost - Ritchey WCS Pro carbon
Bars - Ritchey WCS logic 2 44cm
Stem - Ritchey WCS axis 4 120mm
Bottom bracket - Hope ceramic in red
Seat clamp - Hope in red
Cables - Goodridge carbon grey
Bar tape - Easton
It's a 58 frame / XL and all in it weighs 16.8lb
All brand new apart from the wheels and a total build cost below £1000

strange choice of photo, ( I'm surprised you haven'y been given a hard time for not obeying OCD Rules), but really nice looking bike.
