Which bike

Hi im new to the forum and looking for some advice.

Ive been wanting to return to mtb for a while now after having about a 3-4 year break. I used to cycle every day and just havent had chance in the past few years due to being away at uni. I never really had a good bike but now that im working am looking to buy a new bike and get back in to the sport but dont want to spend loads incase i just dont take with the sport again although im sure I will. I intend to mainly use the bike for trial riding once I get my fitness back. The two bikes I have in mind are:

Im steering towards the cube, it seems a better bike and imo looks loads better. Anyone any advice please as im not 100% familiar with whats a good spec and what isnt.

Im from lancashire so have access to loads of good riding.

The Cube looks quite a bit better than the Trek.

I'd also look at the Rockrider 8.1, the Voodoo Hoodoo, or maybe a 2010 or2011 GT Avalanche from Paul's

And apparently you can get a decent discount on the HooDoo - see this thread on Quidco. If you can get this much money off then you might want to look at a Fury.
