Sizing.......?

The time has come to buy a new bike, and I have been looking at Canyon/Rose. After inputting my details both sites suggest 52cm (well, Rose a 53 but tt 52).
The reason I am slightly baffled is the fact that I currently ride a 56cm Scott CR1 and this doesn't actually feel big. I have aroung 17cm seatpost showing, altough the reach does feel a tad long. Will I notice such a large difference going down to a 52cm frame?
My measurements are as follows (cm):
Height-180
Inseam-80
Torso-64
Arm (shoulder to palm)-60
Shoulder width-47
Elbow to end of middle finger-43.
Thanks in advance

That sounds small - I am 174cm and I have got a 53 frame Rose which is fine for me but certainly not large.
Are you sure you have measured your inseam correctly? For Rose, you need to pull a book or ruler HARD up into your crotch to get the correct measurement ("apply the same pressure as if actually sitting on a saddle"). My "inseam" is 83, and 80 sounds a bit short for your height - that's a 32" trouser inside leg, and trouser inside leg is quite a bit less than inseam.
Ps - I LOVE my Rose.0 -
I don't know about the Rose fit calculator, but when I bought a TT bike from Canyon last year, their calculator was rubbish. I think it had me on an XS at 5'10
Try the one on Competitive Cyclist and then compare geometries with the bikes you're looking at. Or better still, get a proper fitting and work with them to understand what size you should go to.0 -
I was looking over the Canyon website yesterday and tried their calculator. It sized me to a Small frame and I'm 167cm. Looking at their bike sizing it came pretty close to what I have at the moment. I was using a spirit level for the inseam and torso measurements as I'd far too much time on my hands....0
