Mabie/Dumfries accomodation

Planning a trip for next year march/april time. Will be a weekend trip and having done Kirroughtree loads we are looking at Mabie/Ae.

4 of us travelling.

Looked at Mabie House Hotel and specifically their Pods, the reviews seem to be a mixed bag, especially around the ''facilities'.

Advice, reviews and alternatives very welcome.

We've hired a couple of nice houses in the area before now, but normally nearer St Johns Town of Dalry. Last one we were in (http://www.craigrobin.co.uk/index.htm) was 40 mins from Kirroughtree and 50 to Glentrool. Dalbeattie would be about 45 mins.

Really nice place run by a really great couple. Shed out the back to lock the bikes in. Decent breakfast and close to the centre so plenty of pubs for grub in the evening.
