A friend brought me some over from Holland...

    Is it a posh version of Amstel then? The standard stuff is pish.

    Yes...its ok, not as good as a proper Belgian beer but a good stab by t dutch none the less

    It was brewed in the Netherlands with Amstel water rather than West London with Thames water, so much nicer that the usual uk sourced stuff.

    Not meant to be 'Duvel' power rated, more the kind of drink you can keep going on all night!

    And the race start in Maastricht is only 3.5hrs drive from Calais...

    It's amazing the difference between beers abroad and in the UK, after a few weeks of drinking Wiess beer in Germany when I came back and had a pint over here it was like chemical piss! I'm told this is because the Germans put less preservatives in thier beer...
