I had c24 and found them light and stiff, spun up like a lighter wheel. I imagine you'll be happy with them0
-
Fantastic wheels, Ive had no dramas with them at all0

So what happened in your case?Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
Winter - Trek Madone 3.5 2012 with UDi2 upgrade.
For getting dirty - Moda Canon0 -
haha i know what you mean.i know dura ace is quality i knew what i was basicaly getting just fancied feedback from people who had them0

Did a similar thing last year, bought a decent set of wheels just before the weather turned foul and spent four months waiting to give them a try! It gives you some motivation to get out and ride a little earlier than you might otherwise0

Two behaviours of Men : 1) research for so long, the season is almost over and 2) buy completely on impulse and hope this wasn't a completely idiotic manoeuvre.
This was simply an example of #2, so no problem there.....
All the gear, but no idea...0 -

Why not?
Surely there must be a day or two where it's dry? I admire your patience - I would have had them out on the road by now to try them out. I've heard they're very good.
Personally, I leave my Mavic Ultimate tubulars on all year round. Life's too short, so I figure the bike might as well be as good as it can be so I enjoy riding it. Even if it rains, I don't really see how they would be 'damaged'.0 -
I would get a pair if they didn't have Alu braking track!0

good enough for team sky then good enough for you im sure.0

I didn't really see the point of the C35's when I looked, they're near enough C50 weight rather than weighing half way between a C24 and 500

So you're one of the crazies who think carbon melts in the wet, and must be stored for summer weather?0 -
saved a long time for a pinnarello so u will probably understand if i keep it for best its my pride and joy0
-
but if you save it then when will you ride it? Carbon doesn't fatigue anyway so technically it should last longer, except for a crash0
-
exactly in my opion you keep your best bike for summer.and older bikes for winter.its just what i do.not about fatigue or wear or keeping clean.when i buy a new bike then that will be kept for summer0
-
Ride it like you stole it. Steer clear of puddles.
Cleaning is all part of the bonding ritual. Like with a cat who hates water.....0 -
What aloud of crap this keeping best bike for summer is, does it not rain on summer? Do we not have dry sunny days in winter? Bikes are for riding whatever the weather, it's been done to death in here, but carbon won't melt in the rain, it won't crack in the cold, get out and ride the bloody thing for goodness sake.0

+1
I have a Focus Cayo, 5 years old, ridden every season in all kinds of weather. I service it and clean it and it looks like new still. Just purchased a Specialized Venge, will I saving that for the 2 weeks of summer we have a year, will I nuts, get out and ride it and enjoy it while you can. The only time I don't ride is if there's heavy rain and that's through choice as I hate getting soaked rather than wondering if my bike will dissolve.0 -

I am as well. I don't think that carbon is going to melt but I do think that I'm far more likely to come off during the icy months and my aluminium Spesh with Tiagra is a darn sight cheaper to repair than my carbon canyon with dura ace everything. Equally the soaking, grit covered crap coming off the roads I would far rather have caked over my cheap group set.
Complete insanity I know.0
