Quick release vs through axel

Hi
I know what the obvious answer to the question is going to be, but are through axels really much better that standard quick release?
The new ride I'm looking at has standard quick release front and back and a non tapered Fox fork. Should I be concerned that a £1700 - £2300 full Susser has this setup?
Cheers

Should you be concerned - no.
Some through axles result in a stiffer fork than QR, some do not (but marketing demands them), all are heavier!
Note, axle not axel!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
