I ride some Chinese 50mm's at 1590g and they cost me £300, I ride also Campag Bullets at 1570g at about £875, so why pay more for heavier wheels?

Stiffness, durability and confidence in a recognised brands quality assurance for a start.

I'd imagine that stiffness, durability and confidence in a recognised brands quality assurance might just about apply to Campagnolo
