I've got a Canyon 29er and the current seatpost has diameter of 30.9. My question is, as this is so close to 31.6mm is a seatpost of 31.6mm going to fit? I'm asking as I have to buy a new one with a setback and I'm looking for something cheap and most of the seatposts are 31.6mm, actually I haven't found any 30.9mm yet.

Alright, thanks for quick response! looks like Thompson are making 30.9mm seatposts so I will keep an eye on them0

30.9 isn't as common but is hardly rare.....http://uk.search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt= ... ram=&rd=r2Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Check superstar components for a seatpost with layback in 30.9. I just ordered an inline one from them for about 20 quid, and everything I have had off them has been great quality.0

if you want to damage your frame, by all means fit the larger post, you may need a big hammer.
ok, 0.5 mm doesn't seem like much but I'd be sruprised if you could even get it to go in.
plenty of 30.9 mm posts out there.0
