Hope M4 - Compatible with 180mm rotor?

Has anyone used a Hope M4 with a 160 to 183mm PM adaptor with a standard 180mm rotor? Looking at installing an M4, but hoping not to shell out another £35 for a 183mm rotor, but not sure whether the 3 mm difference will cause problems with braking power/uneven pad wear where the caliper is sat too high. Alternatively, anyone know of a 160 to 180mm PM adaptor that'll fit an M4 caliper?

    just get any 160 to 180mm adaptor. or some suitable hollow rod and longer bolts if you can cut straight.
