Morning all,
Been googling but having no joy, whats the max width tyre for a Stans Flow rim? A certain supplier has 2.5 Der Kaiser tyres going cheap and wondered if they would fit ok, dont want them rolling of the rim if its too narrow.
Cheers

Go to the tyre manufacturers website, see what rim width they say is OK for the tyre, measure your internal rim width, is it OK? The tyre determines the rim width, not the other way round.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

The only info I can find on manufacturers website is here
http://www.conti-tyres.co.uk/conticycle/ti%20kaiser.shtml
and it does not appear to mention rim width unless I'm missing something.0 -
Depends on what Conti think is 2.5" for that tyre too. Is it a real 2.5", in which case it'd be on the limit of being too big imo, or could it be more like a 2.3", which would be fine?0

Looking its 559-62 where as a Rubber Queen 2.4 is 559-60 so I guess its 62mm wide as opposed to 60mm for the Rubber Queen, Rubber Queens fit so perhaps worth a shot at bargain price?0

I wouldn't rely on that too much.I don't do smileys.

I see no reason why not.
Flows are 21mm internally so should be fine for up to 2.5s, they are classed as a DH/AM rim and it's not like you see many Dhers running anything much under 2.5.
For comparison.....Mavics DH specifc Deemaxes also measure 21mm internally and are fine with 2.5s0
