After a recent crash i had to send my bike off to the insurance company (Wheelies through M&S) for damage inspection. They have considered it a write off and im arranging replacement. I was wondering what these insurance companies do with bits that arent damaged as on my bike there were deifnately parts which were totally fine. Surely they dont just chuck it all in a skip?

They assessed mine at my house and wrote it off giving me 85% of the price due to wear and tear, plus i got extra for all of the upgrades. I asked the assessor what they'd do with the bike and he replied - "it's yours, strip the bike and Ebay it".
