Hi,

Hoping someone can help. I have a topeak race rocket pump for when i am riding, this screws onto the valve and every time I unscrew it it removes the valve on my conti inner tubes, completely deflating the tyre.

Does anyone know which inner tubes don't have removable valves?

Cheers

the valve is only coming loose because it's not tight enough, conti tubes ship with the valves a bit loose

tighten the valves so that they are *tight*, not finger tight, they need to *tight*, use a valve tool or pliers

also, when connecting the pump, you only need to screw it on until it seals, which is not very tight

all my wheels have removable valves, none come loose with screw-on pumps, because the valves are done up *tight*

Just put some screwtight glue on the threads and then screw it back in hard and you would not have any more problem.
  • Thanks for the advice, will try tightening them.

I'd still prefer tubes without the removeable cores tho, anyone know for definite which brands don't have them?
