Im looking at getting a hans dampf up front but can anyone tell me how much difference the various compounds will make to the front end grip. Is it worth shelling out the extra for the softer version?

I use ORC compound but only because I want my tyres to last longer! If you want more grip up front, go for a softer version, and stick with an ORC on the rear.

Cheers, I was thinking of leaving my 2.2 ORC Rocket Ron on the back anyway. I've got plenty of clearance through my fox forks so a 2.4 hans dampf trailstar compound should fit the bill then. The roots and rocks around rivington have been getting a bit slippy & sloppy lately!
