Sportful Fiandre Jacket - worth it for mild winter riding?

Was thinking about the No-Rain Light version of this in fluro...but the review of its big brother ijacket n this week's Cycling Weekly suggests that the No Rain treatment degrades over time which seems to me to call into question the USP of the jacket in the first place! Does anyone have any views having owned little or big brother variants of the Fiandre jacket? The Castelli Gabba WS long sleeve is a bit more pricey but has the 'same sheds water so no need for separate rain jacket' tagline so interested on views from any owners of that garment too.

I have the Gabba convertible - it's great for riding on wet roads, but less so for riding in actual rain as you will get wet but importantly stay armer than if you were just wearing a shell jacket. FWIW Sportful and Castelli are the same company.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
