Hi

I need some help please in choosing one of these road bikes i like:

Cube Agree GTC Race http://www.cube.eu/en/road/road-race/agree-gtc-race/

Forme Axe Edge Pro http://www.formebikes.co.uk/bikes/road/axeedgepro.php

i think the cube has the overall better spec compared to the forme. The Forme seems to me like its cutting costs on the cassette & tyres. i find both bikes very good looking & priced at £1600.

Forme would be purchased from a local bike shop & the cube from stiff 100+ miles away. This would be my first carbon so i want to ensure its the correct one.

Any other bike suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance
Craig

If the Cube didn't have triple on it i'd say that one.

Out of those 2, i prefer the Cube (not just available with triple). I nearly bought one but ended up getting a Sensa Giulia (Custom). Have a look on Merlin and it got great review in C+.

    Cube looks nice for sure.....
  • I wouldn't touch the triple cube's or any triple roadie.

Does anybody own a forme on here ? Nobody i cycle with has never heard of them nevermind own one. When doing a google search, there isnt very many reviews either.

    Cheers for the advice

I think Forme are a fairly new company, and a British one which is in their favour IMHO. I've never seen one out on the roads, but then Cube were a rare sight until fairly recently....
  • Just read the 'about us' on the forme website Markps, your correct. New company who started in 2010. Doesn't mean to say there bikes are rubbish, possibly just could be more of a risk due to the unknown!
  • Ride them both and see which you prefer.

I have a Forme Victuer, which I am pleased with. It was bought last year, carbon frame and mainly 105 bits for less than £1400. I'm not sure what the equivalent 2012 model is. Our LBS is a Forme dealer and several local riders are riding a mixture of them, including road , mountain and cyclocross bikes.
